About Me

My love of all things glass began the very first time I saw Cinderella as a small child.  I sat cross legged on the floor in front of a bulky black and white television, transfixed by the sparkling glass slipper a handsome young prince was sliding onto the foot of his soon to be bride.  Every year I would wait anxiously for Rodgers and Hammerstein to bring them back to that old TV and I’d fall in love with it all over again.

After spending years creating mosaics out of stained glass, I decided I never wanted to grout again and my love affair with fire began.  In 2007 I bought a torch, hooked it up to an oxygen concentrator and a tank of propane, lit it, stuck a glass rod in that flame and melted glass into wonky beads for the next several months.

So here it is, many years later and my love of all things glass remains.  My beads aren't so wonky anymore and my style changes from time to time, ever evolving.  Being able to do what I love sometimes feels like a fairytale. I'm living the happily ever after, and at my age, I'm so glad I don't have to sit cross legged on the floor to feel the magic.
