No Show
Usually this time of year, I'd be burning through propane tanks and having a full kiln of beads by 11:00 a.m. and on my third pot of coffee.
Not so much these days though. Art shows are still being postponed or canceled. Thankfully, I do have a handful still willing to believe "The Show Must Go On". The last weekend of this month is the Jubilee Festival in beautiful Daphne, Alabama. This will be my 6th year and I just love everything about this event.
Daphne is one of those places that's just packed with charm. It's on the list for places to retire. But then so is Apalachicola, Destin and a couple of other places.
Then I think of my home here in Tally-town and how much I love my studio and how I need to sit behind my torch with three pots of coffee and fill my kiln with beads before 11:00 a.m. and I know I'll probably never leave it.
Go away covid. Give me my art shows back.
And thank you, Jubilee Festival for hanging in there. See you in a few weeks!
