One Day, Day One

Yesterday went better than I had anticipated.  That is until the last leg of our journey.  Our plane had a "mechanical issue" and by the time it was resolved, the wings had to be de-iced and guess what?  So did all the other planes that had wings because, DUH, Polar Vortex!

While we were waiting for a Lyft, Nicholas invited me to play in the snow with him and for a good 5 minutes, my stress melted away while the snow promised not to because 5 minutes of snow play is not nearly long enough for a snow virgin.

Today's the day.

Our flight leaves at 2:26 this afternoon.

Because of something they call a Polar Vortex that awaits us in Rochester, our luggage is twice what it should be.  As I write this, the current tempature is -17 with a wind chill factor of -34.  The high today is -2 and when we land tonight just after 10:00, it'll feel like -17.  Our coats, hats and gloves alone bought all the real estate in one large bag.

But...
